A Redlands based IT [Managed Services Provider] Company is in need of an experienced/advanced IT technician with focus on dealing with Microsoft networks

*******Linux skills & Experience with Managed Service Providers– Big plus*******

Job description: Servicing and troubleshooting Microsoft networks with the 2003/08/11 Microsoft server family.  Candidate should be able to migrate servers from existing platforms to 2008/11 server, exchange server 2007/10, etc.  Work is conducted primarily from the company’s Redlands facility and periodically requires onsite trips and appointments with customers.

General Requirements:
-Minimum 5 years of IT experience or generally recognized as a strong Level II or III technician.
-Must have a current drivers license along with an insured, inspected and registered automobile.  -Candidate will use his or her own vehicle (mileage compensation available).
-Must be a motivated, continuous self-learner who is excited about new technology. Must be comfortable and show confidence in his/her abilities when speaking to clients. Must be an independent problem solver.
-Must have good organizational skills and be able to prioritize.
-Must be able to manage a busy schedule along with the ability to function well in a team environment.
-Must possess excellent communication and diplomacy skills when dealing with clientele. Good personality a must.

Technical Requirements:
- Microsoft certifications preferred or equivalent experience.
- Remote network maintenance, monitoring (from NOC), upgrades and troubleshooting.
- Windows installation, troubleshooting, and administration on a workstation and server level.
- Backup and restoring of data using multiple types of backup hardware and software.
- Hardware upgrades and repairs.
- Must be able to distinguish software from hardware problems and capable of repairing both.
- Heavy direct interaction with clients. - Experience dealing with issues via telephone and remotely, as well as onsite.
- All Windows Operating Systems (XP, Vista Win7,, 2003/08/11 Server, SBS, etc.) and related  issues, including, but not limited to, general maintenance and more major problems.
- Must have experience troubleshooting end user problems in a Windows environment and Administration of a Windows 2003/2008/2011 Active Directory with Exchange Server 2000/2003/2007/2010.
- Networking experience (firewalls, VPN, DSL/Cable router installations, etc.)
- Experience with Sonicwall type content and endpoint filtering appliances.
- Must have a thorough understanding of a network infrastructure including, but not limited to the role of cabling, switches and routers.
- Must have a thorough understanding of TCP/IP.
- Must be fluent in addressing malware in a modern network.
-Ability to write & troubleshoot scripts in VBScript, Powershell, Bash preferred.
