CCO Level I Tech

Compensation
Commensurate with experience

Job Description
Computer Options, Inc., a Redlands based Managed IT Services Provider is in need of an experienced IT technician with focus on dealing with small business Microsoft networks.

Candidate will work in the CO tech team supporting small business networks in 5-500 user environments. Responsibilities include network support, migrations, upgrades, onsite support etc. Candidate should be experienced, confident and able self-manage a busy schedule but still work well in a team environment.

General Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of IT experience or generally recognized as a strong Level I.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at the technical level
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
  • Must be energetic, creative, and self-motivated
  • Ability to coordinate people and technical resources from multiple areas of the company
  • Must be comfortable and show confidence in his/her abilities when speaking to clients.
  • Must have a current driver’s license along with an insured, inspected and registered automobile. Candidate will use his or her own vehicle (mileage compensation available).
  • Must be a motivated, continuous self-learner who is excited about new technology.

Technical Requirements

  • Microsoft certifications preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Remote network maintenance, monitoring (from NOC), upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Windows installation, troubleshooting, and administration on a workstation and server level.
  • Backup and restoring of data using multiple types of backup hardware and software.
  • Hardware upgrades and repairs.
  • Must be able to distinguish software from hardware problems and be capable of repairing both.
  • Heavy direct interaction with clients.
  • Experience dealing with technical issues via telephone and remotely, as well as onsite.
  • Working knowledge of all Windows Operating Systems including, but not limited to, general maintenance, deployments, and troubleshooting.
  • Must have some experience troubleshooting end user problems in a Windows environment and Administration of a Windows Server Active Directory with Exchange Server.
  • Networking experience (firewalls, VPN, DSL/Cable router installations, etc.)
  • Experience with Sonicwall type content and endpoint filtering appliances.
  • Must have an intermediate understanding of a network infrastructure including, but not limited to the role of cabling, switches and routers.
  • Must have a basic understanding of TCP/IP.
  • Must be fluent in addressing malware in a modern network.
  • Working knowledge of cloud mail solutions.

  • Experience with Sonicwall type content and endpoint filtering appliances.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of a network infrastructure including, but not limited to the role of cabling, switches and routers.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of TCP/IP.
  • Must be fluent in addressing malware in a modern network.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Linux skills a plus
  • Experience with Managed IT Service Providers
  • Ability to write & troubleshoot scripts in VBScript, Powershell, Bash preferred.

HSP Entry Level Tech

Compensation

$14-16/hr. commensurate with experience

Job Description

Computer Options, Inc., Managed IT Services Provider is hiring on behalf of Horizon Solar Power in Hemet, CA.

Candidate will work in the Horizon call center with the CO tech team supporting 100+ end users. Candidate should be confident and able self-manage a busy schedule but still work well in a team environment. Shifts will be 7:30am – 4:30 pm or 12:00pm – 9:00pm M-F and 8:00am – 5:30pm Saturday and Sunday.
